Academic Tutoring. Test Prep. College Planning.
I love helping teenagers who feel anxious, frustrated, or overwhelmed gain the skills and confidence they need to achieve their academic, test prep, or college admission goals. I work with students online via video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom or Google Meet, to strengthen self-efficacy, minimize anxiety, and maximize performance.
I help students reach their academic potential. Areas of expertise include higher math, reading comprehension, study skills, organization, time management, and avoidance coping strategies. Krista has extensive experience helping overwhelmed students gain the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals.
STANDARDIZED TEST PREP
A Comprehensive Approach
Services include instruction for the GRE, ACT, SAT, PSAT, SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT that minimizes anxiety, inspires confidence, and maximizes performance. An individualized program is designed based on the student’s testing history, learning preferences, academic and extracurricular schedule, and ultimate score goals. Krista can help students with documented learning disabilities apply for accomodations.
Aspire and Achieve
The college application process should not be overwhelming. Services include assistance with the college search process, essay topic selection, essay editing, organization and time management, and scholarship research. An initial complimentary parent phone call or online meeting is recommended to explore student needs, discuss parental expectations, develop realistic goals, and determine fit. All sessions are charged at an hourly rate.
